Pearls of Wisdom:
- Submarines use ballasts (tanks that hold water) to allow it to rise and sink with ease.
- A submarine can remain underwater for several months and dive thousands of feet below the surface of the ocean.
- They use sonar equipment, putting out a sound wave that hits an object and bounces back, helping them move safely underwater.
